Cardiovascular Reactivity to Stress: Testing of a New Device for Assessing Vascular Resistance
Collaborators: Kira S. Birditt (PI), Denis Gerstorf, Kayvan Najarian
Funding: Collaborations on Applications of Cooperative Research in the Social Sciences, Office for the Vice President of Research, University of Michigan
Description: The project examined the effectiveness of a newly developed noninvasive device for assessing cardiovascular reactivity to stress, both using laboratory stress induction and daily life assessments. In particular, the ring device is a truly portable and low powered system that permits continuous monitoring of vascular tone.
